the help of other leaders.

the help of others. Involve all dens in some way.
- Coordinate the total Cub Scout program
in the pack.
- Provide
adequate and safe facilities for pack meetings.

monthly District Round Table meetings or ensure Pack is represented by other leadership.

Assistant Cubmaster:
- Complete

- When Cubmaster is unavailable, provide
direction and leadership.
- Work directly with the Cubmaster, Tiger Cub den leaders, Cub Scout den leaders, Webelos den leaders,
den chiefs, and pack committee chair and members to make sure that all dens are functioning well.
- At Pack
Meetings, ensure the health and safety of attendees.
- Attend,
on occasion, monthly District Round Table meetings.
- Ensure a safe environment with proper safety equipment and procedures
in place.
Committee Chair:
- Complete
Youth Protection Training, New Leaders Essentials Training, and Basic Leader Training for the position. Read and understand Pack Policies.
- Confer
with the Cubmaster on policy matters
- Supervise
pack committee operation by
1. Calling and presiding at pack leaders' meetings.
2. Assigning duties to committee members.
3. Planning for pack charter review, roundup, and re-registration.
4. Approving bills before payment by the pack treasurer.
- Conduct
the annual pack program planning conference and pack leaders' meetings.
- Ensure
success of a council-approved money-earning project so the pack can earn money for materials and equipment.
- Ensure
finances are managed through adequate financial records.
- Ensure
membership drives are successfully completed.
- Maintain
pack records and pack property.
- If the
Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster are unable to serve, assume active direction of the pack until a successor is recruited
and registered.
- Ensure
all committee members, leaders, and families are fully trained for their position. There
must be at least one person who is BALOO trained for outdoor activities.
- Develop
and maintain strong pack-troop relationships by working with Unit Commissioner and local troop Committee Chairs and Scoutmasters.
- Maintain
a close relationship with the chartered organization representative .
- Attend,
on occasion, monthly District Round Table meetings.

Cub Scout / Tiger Den Leader:

Cubs must thrive, have fun, and earn advancements.
- Develop
and maintain a good working relationship and open communication with den families.
- Plan, prepare for, and conduct den
meetings at least every other week.
- Attend the Pack Committee meetings.
- Attend,
on occasion, monthly District Round Table meetings.
- Maintain
a friendly relationship with Cub Scouts; encourage them to earn advancement awards. Keep accurate advancement records and
see that boys receive recognition for their achievements.
- Stimulate
the Cub Scouts' imaginations on the program theme for the month and help the den prepare its stunts and exhibits for the pack
meeting.
- Ensure a safe environment with proper safety
equipment and procedures in place.
Webelos Den Leader:
- Complete
Youth Protection Training, New Leaders Essentials Training, and Basic Leader Training for the position. Attend training for outdoor programs: BALOO and OWLS. Read
and understand Pack Policies.
- Work directly with other den and pack
leaders to ensure that their den is an active and successful part of the pack.

- Help the
pack committee and Cubmaster establish a sound financial program for the pack with a pack budget plan.
- Open or
maintain a bank account in the pack's name and arrange for all transactions to be signed by any two of the Cubmaster, Pack
Committee Chair, Secretary, or Treasurer.
- Approve
all budget expenditures. Check all disbursements against budget allowances, and pay bills by check. The pack committee chair
should approve bills before payment.
- Collect
dues from den leaders at the pack leaders' meeting. Give receipts for these funds
and deposit the money in the bank account.
- Keep up-to-date
financial records. Enter all income and expenditures under the proper budget item in the finance section of the Pack Record
Book. Credit each Cub Scout with payment of dues. From time to time, compare the records with those of the den leaders to
make sure they agree. Give leadership in developing a coordinated record-keeping system in the pack.
- Report
monthly at the Pack Committee meeting on status of account including all income, expenditures, and future obligations.
- Provide
petty cash needed by leaders. Keep a record of expenditures.
- Guide the
Committee Chair in conducting council-approved pack money-earning projects.
- Attend, on occasion, monthly District Round Table meetings.
Fundraising Chair
· Complete Youth Protection Training, New Leaders Essentials
Training, and Basic Leader Training for the position. Read and understand
Pack Policies
· Coordinate a successful council-approved money-earning project
so the pack can earn money for materials and equipment. Attend meetings as required.
· Coordinate materials, promotion, and activities of project
· Coordinate membership involvement and promotion of project.
· Collect and track moneys.
Submit tracker and moneys to Treasurer for deposit.
· Ensure a safe environment with proper safety equipment and procedures
in place at fundraising events.
Membership Chair
- Complete
Youth Protection Training, New Leaders Essentials Training, and Basic Leader Training for the position. Read and understand Pack Policies.
- Recruit:
§ Coordinating with Narragansett Council’s District Chair,
organize the annual Cub Rally membership drive by attending necessary meetings, distribute materials to schools, place membership
drive signs, and attend membership drive.
o
Arrange day and time
of membership drive.
o
Collect membership applications
(Cub Scout and Leader) and money. Ensure all applications are received and are
correctly filled out. Pass money to Treasurer with proper accounting. Deliver applications and final payment to Narragansett Council. Ensure
all new members accounted for at Narragansett Council.
o
Work with Cubmaster to
place new Cubs in dens and to ensure new dens have a Den Leader. Ensure all new
members are properly placed and have met with their new Den Leader and are thriving.
o
Ensure Cubs are provided
with a quality program and satisfied with Den and Pack program.
o
Follow up on Cub Scout
dropouts to help return them to full, active membership.
o
Maintain a roster of
active and inactive Cubs.
o
Prepare re-registration
papers and an annual report to the chartered organization. Secure signatures and registration fees for the coming year.
o
Ask the chartered organization
representative to submit a charter application and annual report to the chartered organization for approval.
o
At least two months before
charter expiration (March 1st) arrange for the annual membership inventory and the annual charter review.

Pack Advancement Chair:
- Complete

- Awards:

Collect den advancement
reports from Den Leaders and Cubmaster.
o
Order badges and insignia
from the local council service center.
o
Arrange for pickup and
delivery of advancements prior to ceremony.
o
Ensure all leaders are
properly trained in ways to stimulate Tiger Cub, Cub Scout, and Webelos Scout advancement.
o
Promote the use of Tiger
Cub, Cub Scout, and Webelos Scout den advancement charts to record advancement in the den and as an incentive for advancement.
o
Promote the use of den
doodles as a stimulus for advancement.
o
Record and track official
Cub Scout advancements at Narragansett Council. Each rank shall be recorded by
the Council (especially Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting’s highest award).
o
Ensure advancement graduation
ceremonies are fun and exciting.

Help build or obtain
advancement equipment for use in making advancement ceremonies more fun and effective.
Public Relations:
- Complete
Youth Protection Training, New Leaders Essentials Training, and Basic Leader Training for the position. Read and understand Pack Policies, especially the Website Policy.
- Website
o
Purpose is to provide
timely information to those wishing to join Pack 66 and to those members wishing to actively participate.
o
Update website with latest
information including: meeting dates & times, current events both Pack & Council, and ensure all information and links
are current.
o
Updates shall occur no
less than on a monthly basis and a week prior to Pack Meeting.
o
WEBSITE SAFETY: No personal information for anyone (includes Cubs and Leaders) shall be posted on
website including, at a minimum, last names, phone numbers, and addresses. Pictures
shall NOT include names of children.
o
Published for distribution
at Pack Meeting. It should include next meeting dates, upcoming events, and other
important information or news.
- News releases:
- News releases include Scouting for Food results and participation, Service Project work,
and any positive news that may be passed to the general public.
Events Coordinator:
· Complete Youth Protection Training
· Come up with a fun and exciting idea for a trip, hike, visit,
or sleepover.
· Confer with the Cubmaster and Committee Chair on event.
· Organize an event by obtaining all necessary information (day,
time, place, cost, and event details).
· With approval of Pack Committee, promote event to Pack membership
· Coordinate with Pack Public Relations to ensure event is promoted
on website and in newsletter with all necessary information.
· Ensure event is in a safe environment with proper safety equipment and procedures in
place.
